SEEKING FREELANCER | Remote or Stamford, CT

Hi, I’m the founder of company called Merchbro. We're a bootstrapped and profitable mass customization e-commerce company. We're looking for 1 or 2 freelancers (also open to full time and small agencies) to help out on various projects. We need to expand our product offerings which requires building out a new design tool in React, fixing a bunch of old architecture issues, and more. Ideal candidates would be used to working on small teams (only 1 other developer at current time), experienced working across the stack (Rails backend, React frontend) and with digging into a lightly tested/not well documented code base and helping to clean it up. Bonus points if you could see yourself growing into a full time position leadership role and would be interested in helping us staff up over the next couple of years.

If interested please email me with some details on your background and why you think you'd be a good fit for this role: brent@merchbro.com.

Thanks!

SEEKING WORK | Remote Only | Raleigh, NC

Greetings everyone. My name is Ron Kelley, and my passion lies in infrastructure deployment and support. My current gig recently transitioned from an active to passive role (thanks to automation!), and it's time to find the next exciting opportunity. I am looking to partner with a team that needs part-time (on demand) help with deployment and support activities including automation, infrastructure config/mgmt, scripting, firewalls, etc.

Give me a shout if you are struggling to keep up with the your deployment/support activities or just need some part-time help with product support. Let's see how I can help offload some of your burden...

  Technologies:
    - Infrastructure (on-prem, cloud, networking, storage, virtualization, etc)
    - Automation (Ansible, Bash, Python)
    - Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu)
    - Firewalls (pfSense, VPN, Wireguard, etc), storage systems

  About me:
  - Industry veteran skilled in deploying and managing on-prem and cloud-based architectures.
  - Deep knowledge in networking, storage, virtualization, firewalls, VPNs, system monitoring, etc.
  - Hard skills - Ansible, Python, Bash, Linux (Debian/RHEL), IPMI/iDRAC, pfSense, BTRFS/ZFS

  About you:
  - Need a partner that can help get your architecture production ready (network/security best practices, etc)
  - Have questions about on-prem or cloud hosting technologies and need an outside point of view
  - Can't justify hiring a full-time engineer but need someone to help manage an existing deployment
Thanks!

SEEKING WORK

Location: S.F. Bay Area (I live in SF)
    Remote: Yes
    Willing to relocate: Maybe
    Technologies: Mechanical Engineering, Systems
    Engineering, Medical Devices
Resume/CV: upon request, see my website at https://www.iancollmceachern.com
    Email: ian@iancollmceachern.com
I have been designing medical devices and other mission-critical products for 20 years. I have a deep skillset in mechanical and systems engineering, product and systems architecture, and technical leadership. I have designed and brought to market many complex electro-mechanical medical devices and similar mission critical products. I have built out entire technical teams and am an experienced technical leader as well.

I am happy to help in any way. If you need some simple design modifications or a solution to a very bookended problem - I am happy to help. If you have an incredibly complex new electro-mechanical medical device that is just a napkin sketch and a patent and you need help architecting the entire product over the next 2 years and build the team - I am happy to help.

If you are working on hardware in the medical space or have an otherwise mission-critical application I am confident I can help overcome challenges and become a valuable ally to you and your team.
