Dunno man, sounds pretty fucking utopic to me. Sounds like they're the first generation to really get it after Tim Leary's failed experiment with forced consciousness expansion.

And the Boomers had hippy subculture. Was everyone a hippy? Plato complained about young people in his time too. For reference, I'm part of Gen Z, and no one I know doesn't want to work. It's just that everyone wants meaningful work. This article is ridiculous and unfairly generalizing.

It's a bit of a perfect storm. You have the rampant wealth inequality and abusive practices that came from decoupling worker productivity from worker compensation beginning in the 1970s with demography. 2022 is average year of retirement for the baby boomers, the largest generation. For at least the next two or three decades labor is only going to get more expensive.
