#4The latent images in undeveloped rolls degrade much faster than the images formed after the film is developed.
So it may happen that if those rolls are ever developed, not much of the original content will be recovered.

#5This is a great story and I hope the film is able to be developed with quality photos. I would love to watch a documentary of this fellow talking about his photos and the history of the Boston music scene. He must have a treasure trove of rock and roll memories in his head.

Was thinking the same thing. Any time I've found old exposed film it hasn't come out well, if at all. The article says that only a small minority was kept in a fridge, and doesn't mention a freezer.
One hot summer can totally ruin the latent image. However it also mentions that he's working with a lab that specialises in old expired film.
