Like your legs don’t stand that far apart normally; the announcer right now seems to literally need to constantly shift her legs to keep her standing stance so wide. I’ve noticed this a couple of other places too; is some body coach teaching the weirdest crap out in California right now?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. They look stupid and it's a distraction - I don't care what anyone says.

It's a power stance, they are asserting dominance over the feeble audience to whom they are selling $5000 computers

Apple events used to be something I really looked forward too but they are kind of boring now. The hype they give in their events is starting to feel almost a parody of itself. I don't know, I can't put my finger on it, but for me the magic is gone and they should just announce at CES along with everyone else.

For me it's mostly that they no longer announce anything that I _want_. I guess I'm not a pro-sumer looking to spend $3k+ on a workstation.

128GB of RAM in M1 Ultra is unimpressive compared to 1.5TB of RAM in Mac Pro. Right now Apple doesn’t have a replacement for Mac Pro with Apple Silicon

EDIT: At the end of the presentation Apple said Mac Pro refresh is coming later so let’s wait and see

Possibly not for long. Asahi linux are due an alpha release any day now. No GPU support yet, but I imagine that will come. And is apparently made much easier by the fact that there's essentially only one GPU with minor variants across the entire lineup.

I thought my fans didn’t work for the first month or so. Months in and they’re never audible. The silence, temp and battery make it worth the upgrade over my 16” i9 MBP.

They were never the size they are now, it's a different company than pre Steve Jobs return days. They are too far ahead like Amazon in online retail.

I do not see how Amazon is ahead in online retail. Buying from Amazon, or Home Depot, or Walmart, or Costco, or Best Buy, or some random website is the same experience. Actually, not buying from Amazon is better because then I have better assurance it is not commingled counterfeit crap.
