#5Looks like they left out 33 Snowfish, Call Me By Your Name, Gender Queer: A Memoir, and Lawn Boy, which were books parents were actually protesting about because they depict sexual acts between adults and minors.

There's a little known book by William Golding which I think is his true masterpiece and just as controversial as Lord of the Flies. It's Darkness Visible. One of my favorite books of all time about a half-burned boy who becomes a kind of gnostic prophet and a girl who believes she is an instrument of power.

#8To the "turner diaries" guy, Revolt Against the Modern World and The Death of the West are supposedly better (regarding actual influence on right-wing thought), but you can't try to ban something if you don't know it exists.

It’s so wild that most of those books were required reads by my public school. So many wonderful books on the list.
