I’ve been working on Tippy - a product to support creators by tipping through Twitter. I released it around a month ago after building for two months on the side of my day-job.

Tips are through replies using both Twitter and Stripe API’s. Successful transactions are stored on the backend and visualised through the web-app.
Future transactions are stored when a supporter tips a creator not yet on Tippy. They receive a mention telling them they’ve been tipped and to sign up to claim it. These expire after three days and are processed on intervals through a cron job.
Ability to send tips with a hidden amount through hashtags. These are defined through the web-app and referenced in the tip. Buy this reader a #cheeburger

How does this differ from Twitter Tips?
• On-platform: supporting others in context
• Card-first: most third-party services used by Twitter are country specific, limiting cross-border support
• Cross-platform roadmap: I’m building for other platforms such as Discord, anything with a mention system could be an option.

It was just a passing thought that it would be fun to be able to send money through replies on Twitter, then realised cross-platform with anything that has a mention system haha no big thought process.
Senders, or 'Supporters' can attach a card, or wallet (apple/google) within a minute and it deducts from that. No lock-in, and no charges until you decide to tip.

#7How about a way to connect tips with content offerings? Eg an album or film is released and people's tips are lodged against whatever instigated it? Maybe a tip is connected to a particular tweet?

So, a sender has to input CC every time he wants to tip somebody?

So, a sender has to input CC every time he wants to tip somebody?
Nope! They put it in once, and they can tip all creators with an account with Tippy.
