#2The "nobody knows but it works" quality of the pretreatment for the donor heart is fascinating. How many different cocktails did they try and what motivates the choices of ingredients if "nobody knows" -really? it's probably shorthand for everyone knowing classes of substance which are efficacious and nobody being clear on why, but there are theories.

#3I realize the doctor participated in this story but it verges in Islamophobic to be “surprised” that a Muslim would use a pig heart.
