#87one thing to note is that websites in this style, some with marquee tags and all that, are still quite renderable using the parsers we have today (with a lot of specific settings and modes, but still). even the weird hacks they would use to overcome some limitations often survive. which is a testament of the dedication to backwards compatibility and to the weight of weird code in the browsers we have to continue to put up with as well
