Résumé: Available Upon Request

I have been a embedded firmware and software engineer for almost thirty years, starting by developing MCU-based systems and their Unix-based servers. My current work involves creation of custom Linux distributions for embedded systems, including board bring up and custom device drivers. I have been doing handheld IoT and backend DevOps longer than those reductive abbreviations have existed.I have been committed to using open source tools and platforms for the past twenty years, and I have worked directly to improve that ecosystem (e.g. GNU toolchain, OpenOCD). I prefer to produce open source solutions as well, but I have learned to be practical when it comes to building a business.
I am looking for a position at the staff through founder level, helping to architect and build a new embedded platform in an interesting vertical. I am interested in working with robotics, drones, 3-D printing, or other kinds of motorized and articulated systems.
Technologies and markets that I will actively avoid include JavaScript/Java/PHP/Ruby, Microsoft products/platforms, off-site clouds, Anything-as-a-Service, fintech/cryptocurrencies, "web3", large/multinational businesses, government agencies, and more.

Hi, I'd preferably like a role where I can get involved in everything and contribute ideas in all areas, be it product or engineering. I've been a Principal Software Engineer at a insanely-paced startup that IPO'd last year. The sheer intensity beat me up a little and now I'm looking for something new, where things are going to be little less chaotic (shouldn't be hard).
I've been writing software professionally for 15 years. Languages/tools/things I don't know aren't a problem for me to pick up. I'm really comfortable designing systems involving tech and people. Nowadays I'm less interested in bashing out code for codes sake and more interested in crafting systems that seek the goals we want, and helping teams write only the software that's necessary.
Happy to hear from anyone who's got something I might be interested in :) Thanks

Hey!
I'm a software architect / engineering manager in a fintech company. I helped my company bootstrap in a new market (India) and set up a payment infrastructure now able to process >20M€ / month.
I love programming, so I'm also working on various side projects in the evening and week-ends on other technologies. Lately I've been doing some game development, elixir training, rust libs and I just got my hands on OpenAI GPT-3 API keys.
If you're looking for someone to lead a team or design architectures to solve tough challenges, drop a mail!
