Adacore | Software Engineers | Full-time | Remote, New-York, Paris, Bristol, Toulouse, Tallin, Grenoble, Vannes...

Adacore is the maintainer of GNAT, the Ada compiler originally based on GCC (but now with many more backends: LLVM, Why3, JVM...). We also have a lot of tools revolving around the Ada ecosystem (IDEs, Coverage tools, Static Analyzers, Formal proof tooling...). We are looking for a lot of different profiles:

- GNU toolchain developpers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/gnu-toolchain-developer-... )

- Compiler Engineer ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/compiler-software-engine... )

- Devsecops people ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/senior-software-develope... )

- Cybersecurity engineers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/senior-cybersecurity-eng... )

- Services engineers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/service-and-mentorship-e... )

- QA Release Engineers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/qa-release-engineer-ed94... )

- Techincal Marketing Engineers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/technical-marketing-engi... )

Some of these roles involve working with Ada, some don't (we use a lot of different programming languages: Ada, C, C++, Python, Ocaml...), so it's fine to apply even if you don't know the language!

Interesting business model. Are you actually doing loans rather than factoring (which is buying the receivable)?

We have the flexibility of doing both ;-)

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital | Multiple Positions | Memphis, TN | ONSITE or REMOTE | https://www.stjude.cloud/ The St. Jude Cloud ( https://stjude.cloud ) project is hiring multiple different positions and technical backgrounds. We work on the forefront of computational genomics by applying advanced computational techniques to analyzing genomics data then sharing that data with the world. Come join the world…

I would just like to put in my $0.02 on this one.

I worked for St. Jude in the past, and it is one of the most delightful workplaces I have had the opportunity to be a part of.

It is a shockingly positive environment given the nature of their mission. People there joke that it’s “the last place you ever work.”

People on HN talk about feeling soul-sucked by work… well, if you want to know that what you’re doing matters, it’s hard to do better than helping cure child cancer.

WattTime | Multiple Positions | Remote in US

Hi HN, I work on a scrappy team at WattTime, where we model marginal operating emission rates for electricity consumption around the world. Marginal emission rates are insanely actionable in the fight against climate change, as our users control flexible loads (electric vehicles, thermostats, batteries, industrial loads, etc.) around our signal to know precisely which power plants will be responding to a change in load. This can mean the difference between using renewable energy versus coal.

We are also a founding member of Al Gore's Climate TRACE initiative, where we're using remote sensing to measure emissions from every power plant in the world.

We have a few roles open, ranging from DevOps to ML.

This is the best culture I've ever worked at, and we measure real impact in our daily work. We're run as a non-profit and have great funding. Feel free to reach out: sam at watttime dot org

Cradle | Software Engineer | Part-time or Full-time | Gloabl Remote

Cradle is a recently launched music tech startup looking for a backend-leaning Fullstack Developer. We’re a small yet globally distributed bunch of friendly music nerds who work part-time and full-time. In an average day at Cradle, you’ll perform code-reviews, fix well-scoped bugs, help plan and scope larger features, and pair-program with existing team members. The Distribution side of Cradle Engineering is responsible for the website/e-commerce, product distribution infrastructure, and the user and licensing APIs. The application stack consists of an API and an accounts service written in NodeJS, an integration with OpenID Connect for authentication, a Postgres backend, and a WordPress instance with custom plugins. Our application has comprehensive test coverage, and we perform weekly releases from Heroku and WPEngine.

Perks!

- Work when you want, as much as you want (as long as it’s usually more than ~20 hours/week)

- Sign on as a 1099 contractor or W-2 employee, your choice!

- Be part of an early-stage, non-VC funded startup with a healthy engineering culture and a sustainable growth plan

- Work on something that isn’t dystopian surveillance tech. We sell an actual product (i.e. not user data).

Here is the official job description: https://cradle.app/careers/fullstack-developer/

Feel free to reach out to me personally (cristina@cradle.app) to learn more, or send your CV to hiring@cradle.app to apply.
