Hey man, first off Merry Christmas. It sounds tough and covid can't have helped. Can I suggest, in the new year, going on something like meetup.com and trying to get to a social thing once a week? Maybe a board game night, maybe some 5-a-side football, maybe a book club... whatever it is, getting out the house and meeting more people could really help - especially after months and months of weirdness and isolation.

Someone else suggested therapy - don't shy away from that if it's something you think you could benefit from, mens mental health is something we can proudly talk openly about nowadays and is as important to manage as physical health. Venting to someone in person could really help.

For a while now, this site has felt to me like one of the last bastions of high-quality discussion on the internet. Many days, it's the first thing I open in the morning and/or the last at night, and I sure am thankful that amid the firestorm of superficial engagement maximization platforms, there's at least one site that consistently leaves me feeling more informed, enlightened, and rational.
