We pay 5% tax (we work as Provate entrepreneurs), so there is not a big difference between gross and net for us.

gross, but the taxes is super low in Ukraine (at least for programmers). Most of the programmers pay 5% from salary + 50$

#15Not sure I'd want to build a career in a country about to be violently partitioned by world powers. Low cost of living is one thing, tanks and rocket launchers in the streets are another. Best of luck to Ukrainian devs in relocating to more expensive, but less perilous countries!
You are right, but it's not super dangerous in the country. We haven't got tanks and rockets in the city and war only in the East of Ukraine.

Ukraine as a country is not going anywhere, relax, partitioned or not it is still viable place to work/live/invest to. Rather unlikely it to disappear, unless WW3 which is effectively destroying everybody's career around the world pretty much

#17The salary numbers are by month but I couldn't find clarification for the currency meant by "$". Are tech salaries in the Ukraine typically reported in USD?
I was going to say, i know salries can be low in Ukraine but $770 a year is beyond the pale. It should be labeled more clearly rhat these are monthly
it's Ukrainian specifics - all salaries are monthly because they could change more than once a year

Ukrainian devs live in this situation for almost 8 years already, look at Israel - they are at war for more than 50 years now
