I've been using the hckr news Chrome extension for 5+ years to highlight new comments since I last visited. Recently it's stopped highlighting them so I am looking for others.

Someone please fix the "hckr news" extension, it worked great until it stopped working.
I suspect recent changes in HN ("context" links etc) broke it.

Was hopeful for this but it highlights every post with a gray bar and every new post with orange bar.
"hckr news" extension works faster (loading takes less time) and doesn't highlight all posts (the gray bar is distracting).
Also it doesn't have the refined-hacker-news limitation of resetting the highlighting after 3 days (sometimes I return to older threads later than that).

In the refined-hacker-news extension is there a way to disable gray bar highlight and just keep the new post (orange) highlight?

Though, I don't even use it myself anymore, I just gave up caring if I've seen all the replies in a thread.

#10My workaround is to find "hours ago" etc. on a webpage to find new comments.
