I do something similar with https://foambubble.github.io/foam/ and there I have everything in my own repo in github Not sure how a 9 euro monthly subscription is justified in comparison particularly since I can use vscode as a power user

#27I've been using my CatWiki[1] for making notes since 2016 and find it quite easy to use. It stores notes as Markdown files on a local hard disk. [1]: https://github.com/cabalamat/catwiki
