This looks nearly perfect apart from the mysql dependency. Sqlite should be more than enough for this use case.
I made for for a use case where an existing central database server can be used by several instances of Books, kept up to date using a cron script. This reduces external network interactions and makes it possible to search the database when the external network connection happens to be down. It uses mysql to keep things as simple as possible, it would of course be possible to use another database engine but that would necessitate a conversion of the libgen dumps (which are nothing but mysql dumps).
