I'm curious as to how you all are providing SSL for custom domains
The sites are deployed on Vercel and Digital Ocean. Both platforms allow users to connect their custom domains, and they auto-generate the SSL for these domains.
Interesting UX. Certainly more complex sites would need more complex controls. I have a love hate relationship with Webflow. On one hand I'm much faster coding HTML and CSS by hand, but Webflow handles the things I don't want to handle. Stuff like collections, pagination, forms, etc. Can I build all of those things? Well, Webflow doesn't give me the ability to:
1. Change any of those variables (they're hardcoded text). The only templates you can use here are for collection items (ex: using the name of a blog post in the title). It doesn't give you any options for basic pages.
2. I can't change their order or anything about them at a higher level than on a per page basis.
3. And let's say for some dumb reason, 6 months down the line Google penalizes me for using "|" in the title, and now the convention is "-", I have to go into literally every single page and update it one by one.

Well an easy use case is a name change, or even a convention change. Let's say I have 100 pages that have titles like this: | | Well, Webflow doesn't give me the ability to: 1. I’m very impressed with what you’ve discussed here. I think there’s a real market for no-code website builders that are user-friendly. How do you justify charging $144/year for a static site? Carrd.co offers similar features and charges $19/year for their Pro plan. Serving a static site is basically free. I generally avoid software I can't buy and own, and with pricing like that it seems that are not trying to get pro / semi-pro site builders with this.
With that price, I'd buy pinegrow and build lots of sites for about the same price. ( https://pinegrow.com/#buy )
I guess this is more trying to carve a niche within the niche of wix/ squarespace / wordpress.com / google sites / godaddy sitemaker / every other cpanel host that has a builder, maybe webflow.
With the title 'WYSIWYG website builder' I was really hoping for a netobjects fusion remake - but it seems it's another recurring billing saas trying to take market share from the others already trying to be microsoft frontpage for the web.
I guess this includes hosting (from reading the comments) - so maybe it's more like a DO hosting with premium page builder for an extra few bucks a year kind of thing. There's nothing wrong with that, wish it was in the title.
How easy is it to:
+ A/B test pages (e.g. for conversions)
+ Measure user interaction to understand incoming referral, bounce rate, time on page, user journey, etc.
+ Integrate with other automation tools like n8n.io
I'm new to this so apologies if some of this is better served by other tools (suggestions welcome!).
For example, in addition to the stuff above, i'd like to:
+ send transactional emails to customers who buy a product
+ send update emails to customers when the product gets an update
+ add orders to Airtable/Google Sheets to track sales (these could be handled with some automation integrations like n8n)
On the site itself, is it possible to:
+ allow comments (simple way to do this might be to include a twitter post with the article URL, displaying the twitter replies as comments on the TypeDream website)

Thanks for pointing out about Pinegrow as well, this is my first time hearing about it! We focus more towards non-pro users and trying to make the UX as familiar and simple as possible. Seems like Pinegrow is somewhat similar to Webflow and the pricing is more "per user" than per site.
Is there any specific reason why you would like build lots of sites? We did encounter some requests on enabling code export and make a software package pricing so users can host the exported sites themselves, would love to understand your use case!

- A/B testing: not supported yet, although we are thinking on building this. Would love to learn more from your use case! - Incoming referral, bounce rate, time on page are available through our built-in analytics. If you're familiar with Plausible https://plausible.io, we're using their self-hosted version to offer the analytics feature, so you should get everything they offer. - Not familiar with n8n.io, looks like it's similar to Zapier. We don't have any integration like this yet, but most functional components that you can add to your Typedream site (like forms, waitlist, etc) can be done using HTML embeds. For example, to add a form, you can embed an Airtable form in your Typedream site. This means that any automation supported by those tools can be used.
With that said, interactions such as allowing customer to buy a product, sending emails, and adding orders to Airtable/Google Sheets can be done by using a third party service, like Stripe Payment Links to allow users to buy a product, then use Stripe's functionality or Zapier/n8n.io integrations to send emails or add orders to Airtable/Google Sheets. This is also the case with comments, for example you can embed https://commentbox.io/ into your Typedream site to enable comments.
