#3Looks like a great alternative to NextDNS if you can do without any special configuration.
For me, NextDNS is still better. I can setup separate DNS zones for adults, children, IOT, etc. and it works across networks (unlike Pihole/AdguardHome). I can also setup DNS forwards for each zone.

Yeah, I would also love to get NextDNS-style offering fro CloudFlare. I'm currently have multiple malware/spyware/adds/annoyances filters enabled and I need them on DNS level because having uBlock Origin in my browser doesn't help me, for example, to prevent spying by my smart TV or phone apps.

Hate to break it to you, but DNS level blocking won't help you either. Lots of this kind of spying is done through fixed IP addresses.

On the malware intelligence, it is a combination of first party threat intelligence (what we see on our own network) and third-party threat intelligence across open source intelligence, specialized malware intelligence vendors, and private threat sharing communities.

For me the publish date shows as April 2. They also explicitly say it’s not a joke and explain their own April tradition in the article.
