#2If you're on a blacklist it'd probably be because people flag your links—either because they're of low quality, of little interest to the community, or because you spam them.
Big Sites™ get so many links posted here because they're reputable sources. When I see TechCrunch, I have a good idea of the link's content.
Protip: Writing good content is the best way to get more readers.

#3The moderators here only usually censor smaller up and coming blogs not big ones that already get loads of traffic like Techcrunch even if the content on the smaller sites is better.
Techcrunch usually are allowed as many links per day as they like even if they are pure blog spam in nature while other smaller blogs aren't usually even allowed one.
Stop spamming us you're wasting your time is what most smaller sites can look forward to it.
Hackernews is pretty mainstream now so the mods are making money by promoting specific sites in a corrupt manner.
It's just how it is.

It is well known that the Hackernews is used as a publicity platform for the larger sites to keep their traffic up. Some of them are extremely dependent on it and they do bribe and cut deals with the mods here.
It's just how it is and has been for a long time.
Hackernews is just plain mainstream now.

The mods are going to delete this comment because they're scared of the truth getting out. Pathetic.
