SEEKING FREELANCER | Remote or Nicosia, Cyprus | Server Monitoring & Alerting

We are looking for someone experienced with server monitoring & alerting to help us monitor multiple (> 50) on-premise, low resource, bare-metal servers.

We are thinking that the Grafana or Elastic stacks are good candidates for our use-case due to them being open-source and providing cloud/managed options.

*Requirements*

- Project documentation, planning document(s), discussions

- Setup and configuration of monitoring server(s) (the receiving part, either self-hosted or cloud - most probably cloud). This includes data-sources, dashboards, plugins, alerts, etc.

- Setup and configuration of agents / collectors (the collecting/sending part).

- Monitoring performance tuning (so that monitoring has minimal impact on what is being monitored)

- Since we are using ansible for server management, being able to manage the server and agent configuration via ansible would be great!

Our stack mostly consists of: Debian, Ansible, Docker, Django, Node, Postgres, Nginx.

We are a team of senior full-stack developers with extensive experience in many technologies, with a focus on creating modern web applications.

Our first big Django project was started over 15 years ago and quickly became the largest restaurant guide site in Norway. Our portfolio includes a 3D design tool for outdoor fencing, implemented using THREE.js. We have followed the developments in the industry, and can produce both traditional applications as well as modern single page apps with a REST-ful backend.
