Has anyone had success getting any of these containers to work with a camera? Recently, my bank discontinued their website based deposit system for checks in favor of their app. I'm reluctant to keep an app with full access to my account on my phone, so a container system like Waydroid or Anbox would be great if I could just emulate the app when I need it. Has anyone else run into this issue and, if so, how have you…

Erfan is finishing up on camera fixes soon. Updates should be pushed this weekend sometime.

Quite a lot of stuff from the Play Store has an x86 version, because then they get users on Chromebooks.

wut? most chromebooks are arm

nope! These days a heck of a lot are a lower-power Intel chip or an AMD chip. They're just very slightly weird PCs.

Eww? Do you honestly believe the future of the Linux desktop is anything but Wayland?

Well, yes, I do. I expect X11 to be around for quite a while, possibly even longer than Wayland. Now if Wayland itself gains some of the features which keep me at X11 - network transparency (through nx/x2go) and compatibility with the kitchen sink being the most important - this might change but until such a time I will use X11, as will many others.

Ha, are you me? get out of my head. My thoughts exactly.

Just installed it. First impressions: * The good - It is very responsive and smooth - Install just following instructions described - F-droid works - Apps installed from F-droid works - Full screen videos from Newpipe play smoothly * The bad - Had to enable "invert colors" to get correct colors - Mouse scroll is inverted - Can't choose correct layout of physical keyboard because android thinks there's no physical key…

One thing to add to The bad/The ugly : - requires Wayland - does not seem to work with X11 This makes it a no-go for many a potential user.

Thanks. That explains the "Way" prefix for the project name, I suppose.
