Gah, stop it with the presidential runs. It is MUCH easier to infiltrate U.S. politics via the House of Representatives. Elect a half-dozen representatives - which is entirely possible and much cheaper than a single Presidential run - and suddenly you're Joe Lieberman - the swing votes on a lot of issues.

But since most of the third-parties are driven by ego and really are just advertising for one specific person, they concentrate on a doomed Presidential run and fail miserably. What a waste.

Oh, nevermind, I see Thomas Friedman was excited about this. That clinches it: it's a failure.
