Covid spike protein and amyloidogenesis: Potential clues to neurodegeneration

As a layperson, this begs the question of whether the spike proteins produced by the body's own cells following mRNA vaccination can produce a similar effect?

Does anyone versed in the subject know if there a reason why this should not be the case? I have read conflicting reports of accumulation/no accumulation in various organs and would like to understand.
