Somewhat unrelated, I've noticed that my rankings were punished on Google Play despite being organic traffic. There was a sharp drop during the user spike, then it went back up to normal after the initial viral spike subsided.
So I've always felt that the launch spikes were something to avoid. Does anyone have experience with this actually working?
