LUMICKS | C++, UI/UX, QA, DevOps | Amsterdam, NL | FULL-TIME, ONSITE when safe to do so, VISA | lumicks.com

LUMICKS is bringing novel tools for single-molecule biophysics and cell avidity to market, enabling scientific researchers across biology and medicine to unlock new types of experiments.

We produce z-Movi, a unique instrument that can directly measure the overall strength of interaction between cells ("avidity") and could have an enormous impact on research in immunology, paving the way for new therapies for cancer. In collaboration with end users, we have developed a fast and intuitive workflow software that takes you from defining your parameters to viewing your data in no time.

We also build C-Trap, which can be used to "grab" a single molecule, and apply precise mechanical forces to it. At the same time, one can visualize the molecule using highly-sensitive fluorescence microscopy. Our customers use it to watch DNA being copied by the molecular machinery of the cell, or observe molecular "engines" walking across the scaffolding structures of a human cell. LUMICKS systems are currently in use in opinion-leading labs across the globe, including Stanford, Johns Hopkins University, Tsinghua University, NIH, Max Planck Institute, TU Delft, and Imperial College London.

We're an academic spin-off from a research group at VU University Amsterdam. We care deeply about providing our users with easy-to-use, reliable software that actively supports Open Data and Reproducible Science. To make this happen, we're looking to expand our engineering team with additional:

C++ developers -- http://lumicks.com/vacancies/cpp-software-developer

UI / UX software engineers -- https://lumicks.com/vacancies/ui-ux-software-engineer/

QA engineers -- https://lumicks.com/vacancies/qa-engineer/

ConsenSys Software | Cloud Engineer / Ops / Backend Software | Fulltime | Remote, ideally UTC+9 timezone adjacent but not a deal-breaker

ConsenSys Software (formerly just known as ConsenSys) works on a range of open source and private/managed offerings and services. Ones you might have heard of are Infura, MetaMask, Besu, Teku (and more). A big solid entity in the cryptosphere, one which is a pleasure to work at with lots of internal opportunity and encouraged personal and professional growth.

I'm working on the team this hire will go to, so you'd be my future coworker (and the rest of the team's).

We're looking for people who have shipped and owned production code; ideally in C# but other languages are fine if you can learn/translate those skills.

Technologies include C#, TypeScript, shell (bash), Docker, Kubernetes, Azure.

We're currently using Azure but equivalent experience on other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) is okay if you can translate that knowledge and of course we'd help getting you up to speed with anything required.

You'd be working on Quorum Blockchain Service which is an enterprise offering for GoQuorum managed consortiums on Microsoft Azure. Shipping and owning features in .NET Core, some ops work where required and more. Crypto knowledge isn't required but is definitely a bonus. Ideally we're seeking people on the senior side.

Flick me an email if you're keen and I'll see what I can do about referring you directly: jordan.coppard+hn@consensys.net

blueatlasrobotics.com | Software Generalist | Denmark | onsite

Blue Atlas Robotics builds underwater robots that autonomously survey ships and other large underwater structures using computer vision as primary navigation.

We are looking for a strong software generalist with an interest in robotics and computer vision.

Our stack is written in C++/Python and runs on an embedded Nvidia Xavier system. We've demonstrated a prototype and are looking to put a unit into customer hands mid 2022, and there is no shortage of work to do. In addition to underwater SLAM and navigation, areas include high throughput networking for video streaming, topside UI, automation of startup and restart procedures, etc. There is possibility for crossover with EE and mechanical if that is your interest.

We're flexible with requirements so long as you can demonstrate CS fundamentals and an ability to deliver software (English is a hard requirement). Feel free to email me directly, carl@blueatlasrobotics.com

We can accommodate remote for a few months, but the expectation is that this is an onsite position.
