Spring Discovery | Machine Learning Engineers | Full-Time | SF Bay Area | ONSITE preferred (REMOTE possible – let's discuss)

Spring Discovery is building a machine learning platform to accelerate the discovery of therapies for aging. Why? Simply because aging is the single greatest risk factor for the most detrimental diseases we know of – cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, even COVID-19 (see our work on this in [1] below). By understanding and treating the biological damage accumulated as we age, we can find powerful new therapies for fighting disease and living not only longer, but healthier lives.

Over the past few decades, an unignorable amount of evidence has piled up from the best labs in the world showing that this is possible [2]. However, the research, while promising, has been frustratingly slow. We’re leveraging the power of machine learning to dramatically improve the experimental process and we believe this approach has the potential to unlock a whole new class of therapeutic discoveries.

We're fortunate to have great backing from top investors, including General Catalyst, First Round, Laura Deming's Longevity Fund, Felicis, Caffeinated Capital, Sam Altman, and more. And our advisory board includes both world leaders in aging research and senior pharma execs.

We have a great early team of senior engineers (ex-Google, Khan Academy, CZI, Freenome) collaborating tightly with leading scientists in the field. But we need help to continue scaling out our ML approaches and platform. We’re looking for experienced ML engineers / applied researchers who would enjoy working on helping us answers on large biological datasets. Yes, you belong even if you don't have a bio background — we're a cross-functional team. (Although of course biology experience is a plus).

If this sounds interesting to you, head on over to https://www.springdisc.com/careers or email me directly at benkomalo+hn@springdisc.com.

Indeed.com | Sr. Product Manager | Remote (US) | Seattle | Austin | San Francisco|

https://www.indeed.jobs/jobs/senior-product-manager-enterpri...

Your job The Marketplace team’s primary objective is to help people get jobs. To achieve this, you will design systems that bring together Indeed’s core platforms to the other systems our customers use - in order to consistently improve upon the hiring process. This will include building APIs, browser extensions, and management tools to connect the dots within Indeed’s partner ecosystem.

You will create hypotheses for extending the platform's capabilities, deliver changes to validate these hypotheses, and iterate from MVP to more extensible versions. You will define requirements, measure key results, track experiments, and frequently ship releases. You will do data analysis using the plethora of in-house tools specially built for the colossal amount of data Indeed gathers.

You will be empowered to set ambitious goals for your product. Your goals will not be easy to achieve; they should inspire and motivate the team to think big. You will not be compensated based on whether you deliver product features, but whether you have delivered significant business impact.

Our team is based across the US fully remote. Upon offices reopening post-COVID, all roles on this team will have the flexibility to either return to the office or remain remote. We have daily (virtual) standups, weekly prioritization, and OKR reviews, and stay closely in touch.

You will enjoy a casual work environment, flexible hours, and great compensation and benefits. You will wear many hats and constantly learn new things on the job. You will be surrounded by smart, dedicated, and nice people. You will be proud of the company's mission and your product's impact.

Who You Are You're someone who wants to see the impact of your work, making a difference every day. Your friends describe you as thorough, analytical, and detail-oriented. You are someone with high standards who leads by example and who will take pride in Indeed as we do.

You have experience in building platforms and APIs that are widely used by internal and external customers. You understand how software development works and are comfortable with a fast pace and managing many concurrent efforts. You have experience working with a large cross-functional team. Most of all, you love solving hard technical challenges to make a difference in the lives of other people, whether they be job seekers, employers, or your fellow Indeedians.

This is an individual contributor role with opportunities for career growth, including people management. As you progress in your efforts, you’ll actively evaluate investment opportunities that may necessitate growing your team.
