Way to Health (Penn Medicine) | Full-time | Philadelphia, PA | Partially On-Site | Software Developer Way to Health (https://www.waytohealth.org/) is a patient engagement and research platform, which has been used to power hundreds of research studies and clinical programs improving the health of our patients. We've launched over 200 different research and clinical programs, and there are around 100 running at any given time. The platform is built and managed at the University of Pennsylvania Health System (Penn Medicine) by our team of developers, implementation specialists, innovation managers, and more.

Way to Health had a huge impact on Penn Medicine's COVID response, caring for over 12,000 patients with COVID Watch, and communicated over 14,000 COVID Test Results to patients by SMS. We recently hit a milestone of 1 million patients who have been in Way to Health programs.

We currently have 6 developers on the team, and are looking to hire one more. Requires 3+ years experience with application development (especially but not only PHP) and a Bachelors degree.

More details at https://www.waytohealth.org/careers/. I'd also love to chat informally with any interested (or potentially interested) developers directly. Email me at my HN username at waytohealth.org.

Y Combinator (yes, the people who run this site) | Software Engineer | Anywhere in US | Full-time

Y Combinator has a small ~7 person team that build all the software that runs YC. We don't hire for this team very often, but we're looking to hire a couple of people now.

This is a great role for somebody who loves startups and is interested in being part of the YC startup community, and wants to own projects from start-to-finish.

It could also be a great role for someone who's interested in doing a startup in the future (though that's certainly not a requirement). If you're interested in getting funded by YC as a founder in the future, but you don't have a startup that's ready for that yet, joining the YC software team could be a great step. Several former software team members are now running YC startups.

We work primarily in Ruby on Rails and React (learning on the job is fine though), and we spend most of our time coding. That said, we encourage everyone to participate in all of YC -- read applications, join our batch talks, help out with Demo Day and speak up on the projects you'd want to work on.

The software team you'd be joining has seven people with lots of collective years of start-up and big company experience, so you'll get the best of both worlds: moving fast and shipping and strong teammates/mentors to help you learn. About half of us are YC alums and several of us are parents. We're open to people 2+ years out of school or 10+ years of experience. Lastly, the work-life balance is great, and you get to work with people across the company.

To give you a sense of what we work on, since YC went remote due to covid, we've been very busy retooling everything for an all remote experience. We've rewritten our entire Demo Day experience (to connect founders with potential investors), re-created the batch experience with both in-house tools and 3rd party integrations, and written software to help founders connect with one another for advice, intros, deals, networking and so much more.

If that sounds interesting, apply below or email jared@ycombinator.com

GoDaddy | 2 Mid Level Positions | Platform/Data Software Developers | Full-time remote ( Pacific/Mtn/Central mostly )

I'm the hiring manager for the Social Platform team at GoDaddy; we're building data pipelines and services (on AWS) to drive insights and connectivity to social networks for our GoDaddy customers. A huge number of our growing customer websites are built on how they interact with their customers on social networks, and we're building a team to facilitate the tools and data driven insights that power these new experiences. If you're into that and cloud-native tooling, we should talk: kperkins at godaddy dot com if you want to chat. The team is fully remote, and is going to stay that way.
