Gee... After seeing this, I wonder why the Taliban have the support of the populace in Afghanistan.
It seems like the general population very largely don't support the Taliban, but for whatever reasons the urban populations aren't willing or able to stand up a credible defence. I suspect the problem is the Taliban are 'only' instituting Islamic law. It's hard to fire up a Muslim population against implementing, er, Islam even if they are against the actual resulting policies.

#52Don't waste your time, this video doesn't show anything about killing accidentally. War sucks and civilian casualties do happen but this says nothing. Taliban were known for dressing as females to get out of situations and using children as "cover".
Hiding behind women and children, you say? MONSTERS!! http://www.angryflower.com/hiding.html

It’s worse that it’s not “out of the norm” than if it was an isolated incident.
....was only saying that this video doesn't prove it was innocent lives....
That said, do we really want a world like this? Because logical conclusions of it are not fun. It is not like I can wear 'I am innocent' flag. And clearly, not that anyone would respect it.

#54Can someone explain the origins of the slang for 'charger'? That one would not occur to me.

What a disgusting attitude you have. Imagine if somebody invaded the US because they didn't like the Biden administration. In the process they kill your family, but don't worry, it's just civilian causalities during a war. Shit happens.
I adore such simple reductions for complex geopolitical matters. Yes, now everything is perfectly clear.
Translation - lunatic politicos bought by a bunch of rich greedy bastards starting wars with countries that can not properly strike back. All for the sake of control and money.

#57> accidental killing of children On purpose is a war crime now, so it has to be accidental. Starting/continuing a war is not accidental though. It sure can be baseless (imho most if not all recent US wars were baseless).

#58I wonder if Facebook Twitter etc. banning violent and bloody content has prevented the public from protesting these things more widely. It is well known that TV broadcasts of Vietnam led to outrage growing against that war.
Indeed it was. It is a potent infoweapon. Israel tried hard to prevent release of news coverage with blown to bits Palestinian children on every silly pretext, including "gory content." Yet, when it were blown to bits Israeli children from bombings, they were all over CNN. The world's outrage is clearly not poweless.
Later, we'd find out that the "parent" was a soldier that found a dead kid in the nearby morgue or hospital for the photo-op.
Or that the video clip was from three years ago, when a building collapsed due to shoddy construction.
NOTE:
I'm certainly not saying that powerful countries aren't responsible for lots and lots of children being killed, because they most certainly are, and in huge, horrifying numbers.
Instead I simply ask that we don't pretend that the lies and propaganda are perpetrated only by one of the sides involved.
