It's bad on Mac, it's bad on Windows. What the hell did they use to develop and test this where it looked good?

I really dislike the new font. Part of the problem is the spacing between characters.

Are you actually getting Chirp? Seems some Linux users are not. I'm on Chrome on Ubuntu 20 and I do get Chirp, and it looks quite bad IMO.
It's extremely similar to Roboto, which is how it was rendered for me before the change. So it seems almost like nothing happened.
More tweet-based journalism. Isn't there a better article somewhere that actually shows the font?

Not every thing on the Internet needs its own font. (I say as the former head of a type foundry.)
