This is… Strange… Someone slapped an RF ID sticker on the bottom of McDonald’s cup. What happens if you peel it off?

I find this to be dubious, just because it’s so blatant. McDonald’s has the ability to manufacture these inside of the paper. Can’t imagine someone applying these manually. Has anyone else seen this in the wild?

It’s much cheaper to do a pilot project this way.

It probably checks for presence of RFID before dispensing or displaying the message.

Probably but will they figure it out? And if they do, will they actually do something about it?

Because then they have can the display under the counter glass label itself with your name so the bean guy can fuck off back to the beans instead of waiting on you to focus your eyes on your misspelled name on your cup.

Because then they have can the display under the counter glass label itself with your name so the bean guy can fuck off back to the beans instead of waiting on you to focus your eyes on your misspelled name on your cup.

Can accomplish same thing with IR camera under smoked glass counter.
