Looks like this update is available over-the-air. Glad to see that. Although I seem to be getting an error when I try. Anyways, full changelog here (without login): http://www.bgr.com/2011/07/22/apples-full-change-log-for-ios...

Update appeared and worked after plugging my iPhone into a computer. Hard to know if that was a coincidence or a prerequisite, though.

I'm getting the "you device is not eligible for requested build" error in iTunes. Never had this before. Anyone here who did successfully activate?

Seems like it is still quite flaky. Rebooting my iPad helped things along for me.

Same thing here.. I was searching the error in Google and found a bunch of blog/forum posts saying that adding the following comment line to /etc/hosts, restarting iTunes, and trying it works:

# 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

I was totally skeptical because it's a comment line, but I thought, "wtf, i'll give it a shot. it's just the hosts file." and it worked.

iPhone is restoring now with 9a5274d.
