They're almost impressive in their commitment to Gestapo tactics: only 10 mins to close the issue and block me without any comment or justification.

Normally I'd say "Gestapo tactics" is an exaggeration for deleting a comment someone wrote on the internet, but given that the company in question has threatened someone with the specific brutality of the Chinese police, I think it might be warranted here.

No doubt I’ll be voted down, but… if you’re going to ask for mature, open discussions, perhaps you ought to also avoid labeling those on the other side of the discussion as “scumbags”. I’m not a fan of Audacity’s current tracking kerfluffle, but this response swings the pendulum too far in the other direction.
