#2I'd rather have proper federalism, but that seems less popular than secession or interminable (and escalating) political dysfunction.

#3You can't blame them! What seem like valid differences of opinion are political, national security threats, etc. Intolerance abounds.
But please - that 'storming of the US Capitol' was a joke - those people were pretty well behaved, and waved in by the police. I suspect to provide a justification to portray republicans badly later on. All those riots, in Portland etc, in the middle of epidemic? Those are fine and can carry on for months.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

#5Par for the course for Southern Republicans. I’m a lot more surprised that 47% of Pacific Democrats would like to secede honestly.
The South would have control of the Mississippi watershed and thus eventually control of North America, the Pacific would have nice weather?

#6The title is inaccurate. It should say 66% of Republicans in Southern states would be willing to separate.
... and the poll also shows that 47% of Democrats on the West coast want the same thing.
... but forgetting all that, we need to remember that these online political polls are of garbage quality.

They weren't *all riots, for the most part they were peaceful non-violent protests. Your view of reality is through an obvious lens of propaganda if you think protests in Seattle about racial violence vs. attacking the US Capitol to stop an election is even remotely equivalent. You should be ashamed.
