As far as I can see there are Electron apps for all major desktop OSes, that's pretty much as cross-platform as it gets, for a desktop app.

Looks like a really great app! However, screen shots from older versions of Mac OS on a product page always make me a bit worried about the future of an app. Do you intend to update the UI and such to match Big Sur and the upcoming Monterey?

I used asciiflow for a bit then discovered how easy it is to lose your work. (or, at least, it was)

Then started using monodraw. Love it.

Good point, any pointers to how I'd best do that?

Does it have layers like in photoshop? Or does the group functionality let you overlay and then move the group away without ruining the underlying drawing?

There's nothing so intensive about it that it needs to be an Electron app either. It could just have easily been a cross-platform native app as well.

Ah, good ol' ambiguous-width box drawing characters. They are not ASCII and their width is not prescribed by the Unicode standard and mostly determined by domestic conventions. Stick to ASCII drawing for the maximal portability.
