Does infrared work even if the outside temperatures are 35c-40c?
Summer in the middle east is around those temperatures, which mostly overlap human core temp

#35They say that this can be used to safely move injured soldiers out of the battelfield. I am having hard time understanding that. From the looks of it, this seems like something that dwells in well with the background. Moving subject will definitely be visible as background doesn't stay constant isn't it? But this is definitely something very innovative and unique.

Impressive how "low-tech" some products look. It is sad armed conflicts still involves human lives.
It is quickly moving towards endangering human lives on one side of the conflict (the poorer side who lacks the technology). When the transition is complete, we will likely see more conflicts, as the cost of the war (both in terms of money and in domestic public opinion) significantly decreases for one side.
The trend actually seems to be going the other way - less deaths. See Pinker and all that.
