#2Why GNU Free Documentation License? Debian got rid of them because the license forbid the content to be read on proprietary devices. Creative Commons license doesn't have such issue. Wikipedia also uses CC license instead of GNU FDL.

Why not just use both licenses, nothing prevents them to using CC-BY, let's hope they'll add that.
