SEEKING FREELANCER

I run a boutique product consultancy where I work with founders and early stage startups to help them build software products.

We're currently looking for a really strong React + Node (Typescript) developer on one of our projects. I'm location agnostic but would like to work with someone who can overlap 3-4h with pacific timezone. Can do an hourly rate of $30-$50/h based on location (so may not work for someone in the US)

Email in my profile.

SEEKING WORK | UK (UTC+1) | Remote | Up to 20h / week

Technologies: C/C++, Python, Django, Django REST framework, Pytorch, + more

I have a broad range of experience - from developing custom controllers for hardware on autonomous vehicles to creating a book written and illustrated entirely by AI. Plus plenty in-between.

If you have an interesting or niche project we might be a good match! I like helping to get early-stage projects off the ground, but I consider most projects as long as they're interesting and challenging - bug fixes and legacy systems included. Particularly interested in projects in sports and automotive.

Also available for writing (incl technical).

More info / CV available on request.

SEEKING WORK | San Francisco | REMOTE OK

I help startups and tech companies with team and technical success. I'm good at fixing split teams, broken processes and getting stubborn developers on board with new ideas or projects (After all, I have plenty of experience as one).

* Any stack

* I'm best at helping teams with frontends that have a lot of moving parts

* I not only propose and implement design/performance standards myself but work with teams to achieve them on every page of their product.

* I help too-scrappy teams install more processes. I help too-lofty teams pare back.

* I use a philosophical system called eristics[0] to consider different emotional perspectives and design workflow processes that make everyone feel involved/heard. It's apolitical and tries to include every basic emotional perspective out-of-the-box.

* For greenfield projects, I offer design sprints which can get everyone working on it both involved and on the same page.

* For older projects with problems, I can diagnose technical issues and offer solutions or just function as a gripe buffer for both sides, writing down solutions people grumble at me. I don't exactly offer conflict resolution-- I just help fix up systems so they don't become outlets for interpersonal/team conflicts/drama. I do offer individual emotional coaching (emphasis on startups or high-stress roles) but separately from this offering.

Contact info in bio.

Performance improvement

* CHARGE BY PERF IMPROVEMENT, NOT HOURS, NO CHARGE FOR LESS THAN 10% (or threshold decided by you, expensive thereafter) *

Can improve performance using a variety of techniques, both low level hardware optimization, and using efficient algorithms, including Monte Carlo (where applicable).

I have done this for a top-4 bank.
