Professional investors -> new board -> drive to profit -> slowly carve out product, screw the users slowly

How is it that this is literally the cycle. The product is great while they’re still in the ramp up phase, and then a few years later it becomes utter garbage, filled with ads.

#20I feel it's a similar reason books like Peopleware can still be so relevant - we've massively upgraded our computers, but the wetware is still the same as it was in the late 80s.
