I'm working on https://github.com/uberswe/beubo - It's a CMS similar to Wordpress but written in Go. It's still very early and it has a lot of bugs but what will make it powerful is plugins and themes. Performance is the biggest difference between Wordpress, plugins will most likely use RPC/gRPC which means they could be written in any language. I'm mostly writing it for use with my own projects like https://tournify…

Interesting project. I'm creating my own blogging CMS with a similar tech stack, Go + sqlite3 + Go templates. Works well so far. I plan adding plugins as well. Do you use a special library to support those?

https://kanochart.com - free Kano surveys & analysis. I don't care if it makes any money because I love the method and I want more people to know and use it. Also, I wouldn't know how to monetize it. It hosts 5 to 10 new surveys per month. Costs me around $10 / month.

I've recently "finished" (still some bugs here and there and some planned improvements) https://genewly.com a simple tool that tries to automate finding new domains by generating new words and checking for availability. This concept is not new (I've seen similar projects here on HN a few times) but it was fun finally having a project where I got to do everything (meaning UI/UX, frontend, backend, models, etc.)

To be honest all my projects created till now. They are all super low-cost per month (around 10$ per month) and eventually they will grow.

- https://caseconverter.pro/app - a simple online case converter, could probably grow it with SEO

- https://getworkrecognized.com - app to keep a work diary and create self-reviews, actually paid for itself. Got promoted twice within 2.5 years at current company

- https://linkedium.com - app to schedule LinkedIn posts, mainly for marketing use of the other projects; its also not live yet

https://pancakes.cloud/ - a simple and fast website for storing and managing recipes. I built it for myself, but a few friends have already asked to use it because they are fed up with how bloated and ad-heavy most recipe websites are these days.

The forking of recipes (I see what you did there) is a superb idea. I'd like to sign up!

A book on commutative algebra https://github.com/andreaferretti/commutative-algebra/ Currently, I am writing the second volume.

It's not that I don't care about the outcome. I really hope it will be useful to many students, and I mean to publish it. But I am writing it primarily for me, as a way to keep being involved in mathematics even if I am not doing actual math research anymore

https://loodio.com - A smart device for bathroom privacy I built it for myself because I just hate not having privacy living with my girlfriend. Then some other people enjoyed it and I made it into a product that is launching on Kickstarter soon.

I solve that problem by turning on the hairdryer. My wife thought I'm weird but she's starting to realize the benefits

Haha everyone has their own strat! My buddy runs down to the washing room in his apartment building whenever he has a date visiting...

You should save some electricity with a Loodio instead ;)
