#52Looking for senior frontend engineer and/or someone with experience developing Google Sheets extensions.
At Splitgraph (https://www.splitgraph.com) we're building a platform for data cataloging, integration and governance. The basic idea is that the user can connect live data to Splitgraph, or upload versioned snapshots called “data images”. Then we give them a unified SQL interface to query all that data, a catalog to discover and share it, and tools to build/push/pull it.
We want to hire a Senior Frontend Engineer to contract with us and help with two projects.
- (a) Google Sheets extension. We want to build a Google Sheets extension for executing SQL queries against the Splitgraph Data Delivery Network ("DDN", the public Postgres endpoint). This will probably mean sending SQL queries to our SQL-over-HTTP API [0], although if you could get an ODBC driver to work with Google Sheets, you could connect directly via SQL to the DDN. We'll also need to figure out how to integrate auth / UI with the main site.
- (b) Taking over the frontend / marketing website at splitgraph.com. This is a next.js / react project with some custom functionality for compiling our documentation to create the static site. The code [1] is kind of messy, but you can help with it! We're looking for someone to take over maintenance of this stack and assist with the upcoming redesign. This would be a medium to long-term project.
If you're interested in either of these projects (or both), please email careers [AT] splitgraph.com. The subject line should include "Freelancer - Frontend" and the body of the email should include which project(s) you want to work on. Please include LinkedIn, GitHub, and/or anything you'd like to share to convince us you're the right person to hire.

#53I do resume work, usually for IT professionals. I try to clean it up and improve it and give you some feedback on why I did what I did so you can up your game in the future. It's sort of like resume coaching because we all know you are supposed to do a custom resume for every job. A resume is never "one and done" so I treat it like this is the final word. I treat it like this is something that will help you keep it clean and readable.
No PDFs. They cannot be edited. I typically get Google docs from people.
I take PayPal, Venmo and Zelle.

I'm also available for other kinds of writing work on an ad hoc basis. I have had people ask me to do things like edit their website pages. So if you think I might be able to help you with something, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

#57I am a javascript developer, with 8 years of experience in e-commerce/document editing/data labeling, that has spent the past 2 years focusing on machine learning. Recently, I have focused on running models in a browser, and optimizing custom models for performance. I have gotten some pretty good results with OCR, pose detection, and basic object detection.
I am currently working on an augmented reality Nespresso user guide that uses object detection and dialogs to guide a user through cleaning and maintenance (it is not yet in my portfolio).
