#52Me thinks this will have huge implications for big tech. A Pandora’s box was just opened.
That private businesses can keep people off of their properties?
Re: Permanent suspension of @realDonaldTrump
#53Free speech extremists seriously think a private company should be forced to keep someone who uses their platform to incite deadly riots. Trump's free speech here has consequences. 5 people have died.
Yes, those free speech extremists. They are as bad as those pursuit of hapiness extremists or the life and liberty extremists. Where do they think they are to expect to be able to exercise their rights, just think of the children.

#54Is it just my perception, or is their actual justification using the 2 quoted tweets kinda weak? Interpreting his boycott of an event as a call to violence seems like a huge stretch. It seems like they wanted to shoehorn a justification using his 2 latest tweets when the actual reason goes back further.

#55I really don't when a private company decides who gets air time and who doesn't. Oh well it's the world we live in.
People get banned from Hacker News all the time, are you also upset about that?
Re: Permanent suspension of @realDonaldTrump
#56One unfortunate side effect of this I see happening is that the big social media companies will crack down use of the platforms for any kind of protest activity, citing incitement to violence.

Can you tell me anywhere this isn't the case besides maybe people raving on the street? Genuinely asking.

#58global communications platforms should allow all legal posts. this is dumb precedent and these 2 tweets are pretty tame

That box was opened long ago.
