Cinemax at least shows content that is softcore erotica by any definition. Though from what my [dead] sibling comment says, maybe they no longer have this sort of programming.

From looking over their Wikipedia entry, it looks like Cinemax has backed away from adult content, but the last time I was a subscriber (around 2016/2017), their app had a less-than-obvious "late night" section buried in its navigation.

yep, the same with google and facebook.

I'd say google/youtube is much better at detecting known content actually, though they have a notoriously high false positive rate. Pornhub has a notoriously high false negative rate.

From the article, Pornhub only had 118 incidences of child porn over the last 3 years whereas Facebook had 84 million incidents of child porn during the same time. So it sounds like Pornhub is taking child porn seriously, and Facebook isn't.

Are the Facebook child porn incidents actual child porn or false positives like the napalm girl picture?

Two points of contention:

1) How wide do you cast the net for accountability?

Bad content is a subset of unverified content, unverified content is a subset of Pornhub, Pornhub is a subset of an ISP's traffic and a subset of CC companies' revenue. How much good do you want to ban with the bad?

2) Why not actual law & order?

I would guess a lot of fans of unverified content also dislike bad actors, and would like to see them investigated/prosecuted, rather than 'deplatformed'. 200 OKs for the good actors and gaoltime for the bad actors, rather than 401s for everyone.

Revenge porn, rapes and other bad stuff are being uploaded to Facebook and Google too and they make money out of it Pornhub's official position, like Facebook and Google, is to have AI algos and teams of moderators to manually remove such content. Are you sure that doesn't imply Facebook is being more diligent about catching it. Or the samples on facebook are easier to screen for?

I would hope that the courts would not be præjudiced against the plaintiff simply for being pornography producers. I would, sadly, also not be entirely surprised to find out that the courts are.

I would not be at all surprised if the American jury system would be fairly against plaintiffs if they're in any way connected to pornography considering the American moral values.
