Looks like a nice alternative for slack for sure. Task and crossing company space are very interesting features. I used to use confluence + jira to manage a project with a lot of external members. The permission management is terrible. Rock probably would have made my life easier.

Feel that the key here is the switch to an asynchronous way of working. Many real-time communication tools are supposed to increase productivity but end up being so time consuming, lack of shared information is probably a big factor. Discussions at a task or note level could clearly be a game changer.
