#232My current job is in web development (full-stack-ish). I work with WordPress (setting up eCommerce sites or applications with custom functionalities), Python for more than a few things (messing up with textual data for ML and Django for web applications), JavaScript for some front-end work (currently learning React and Svelte) and static site generators (mostly Hugo). *I am also interested in (entry-medium level or even academic) jobs in Machine Learning, especially for tasks where I could work with lots and lots of text and tabular data and get insights from them (clustering, classification, summarization, recommender systems, etc). Thank you for your time

I'm looking for for positions in Health AI, specifically machine learning in medical imaging. I've spent several years as part of R & D at a large CT manufacturer. I originally studied Biomedical Engineering, therefore I'm interested in the MedTech space, but open to other opportunities. Have also worked in development of Android health CV apps.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (December 2020)

I'm interested in mainly back-end or systems work, but the most important thing to me is having a good team with a strong engineering culture. Would love to learn something new - a functional language or maybe Rust.Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
Take care!

Hey cool technologies. I have been meaning to learn me some Elixir. Quick question, how are tech jobs in Italy? What kind to companies are there? Where are the tech hubs?
I have learned Elixir about four years ago, coming from Ruby, and haven't looked back since. Of course, when the domain or the nature of the problem at hand requires different technologies, I use other stuff (python, c, go, etc.), but for most of the stuff I work on, I find Elixir to be a great fit. I don't want to go in too much detail, but if you're considering learning Elixir to find a job, you won't have trouble finding jobs, but other languages might get you there faster and open more doors. If you want to learn a new technology that will influence the way you develop and think, and show you a whole new way of solving some problems (I can't stand concurrency in any other language after working in elixir/erlang) I think Elixir is a great choice.

I'm nearing the end of my CS master and I'm currently looking for a summer internship for 2021 (flexible regarding date/duration). I'm mostly interested in backend or embedded work, but in the end I'm very open for interesting projects of other fields as well.
