I missed something — will older apps still work or must all your apps be new versions, recompiled for M1?

They have Rosetta 2 (translates Intel apps to Arm) and said the integrated graphics are so much faster than Intel's you can expect faster performance in games than before.

I am quite skeptical of this but let's see.

It's interesting that all the chips are branded as the M1 - I wonder if there are any clock, memory or cache differences between the devices?

I'd imagine thermal throttling will be responsible for actual performance differences across devices (but this is just a guess)
