Different cities have different PU processes/responsiveness. We have established entities in multiple cities: an excellent hedge against bureaucratic gridlock, and not the first time it has been deeply useful.

I applied to this company a few years ago. The first question the hiring manager asked me on the phone? "What editor do you use?" This same hiring manager was out sick for my interview (I did not learn this until I arrived at the office), and never responded when I pinged him a week later. The whole process left me with a sour taste and I would caution other people not to have their time wasted similarly.

This post breaks the rules at the top of the thread. Please don't do that. I realize that not every company behaves well, but there are two sides to every story, and Who Is Hiring threads are no place to litigate or adjudicate this kind of thing.
