Really, there are only 2 costs that matter. On the one side you have the commute--both in time and money. On the other side is whether the place you'd be living in otherwise is suitable for long-term WFH or if you have to spend more money for another bedroom or whatever. For some reason, passionate work from home workers assume everyone likes what they like and everyone has the same situation as them.
I prefer going to the office. It’s not a moral failing, it’s just what I like. I think people should be free to do what they like.
