How ridiculous. FB is paying $300,000+ per year for React developers. This is an extremely valuable skill to acquire. Even better at such a young age. This kid has a bright future.

OP having these skills now means more free time in University or easier time finding first dev jobs which will pay off in the future. Compound interest and all that.

If I can join the guessing game. It could also be that a 15 yr old was asked (or offered) to add this functionality for the mattress company and he's "showing" off here on HN
