Aside from the books and subscriptions, seemed to me like a lot of trial accounts, basically. It feels more like buying a coupon book than getting anything tangible this time.

I rather like the idea of AppSumo, just this time I have a hard time seeing which of these are good deals. After going through them all one-by-one I still can't tell if it's worth a hundred bucks to the average startup.

I had that same feeling, and was not convinced it would be worth the time to research the true value.

Fair point. My personal favorites are pivotal tracker ($100 credit), $50 for Twilio, $40 for Postmark and Geckoboard.

I got it early today, and it's more then just trail accounts, some are free for a few months, but there is a lot more value here. I totally thought it was worth it, but I'm going to be using most of this stuff for my startup anyways
