The whole idea that some corporation's interests or might trumps that of a continent with 300+ million people and a very substantial part of the world economy and Google's income is, frankly, ridiculous.
This would be a pretty pitiful continent. (I'm looking at you, Australia.) Europe has more than 700 million people.
