The main issue with that is having open signups. Voat became terrible because when subreddits or users got banned, they went straight to voat. Tild.es on the other hand has been extremely pleasant to use. That said, because there’s no real reason for a mass exodus from reddit, there’s simply a lack of content.

I mean, people who aren't attractive by your standards might want someone to love too. Just think, people might not have to swipe left as often!

It might also attract attractive people tired of vapid interactions. I think you'll get all sorts of people.

But mostly the unattractive people by number. I am not saying your scenario doesn't happen, but compared to the other one it will be statistically insignificant. This also means that the attractive people will find they'll get matched up with nothing but uggos, and then they'll leave.
